Gardening Class

Gardening class is a learning program that teaches participants hands-on farming and plant care practices. In the gardening class, participants will learn about various aspects related to gardens and plants, from soil preparation, seed planting, plant care, to harvesting and garden maintenance. Here are some objectives of root gardening classes:
  • Provides children with basic knowledge about plant parts, recognizing planting media, as well as how to collect, seed, and plant in a fun and interactive way.
  • Increase children’s awareness of nature and the environment.
  • Teach children about the life cycle of plants.
  • Develop a sense of responsibility and care for the plants.
  • Stimulates children’s sensory and fine motor skills.

Garden Safari

Participants toured the garden around Blooma and saw the plants.

Recognize Plant Names

Participants were explained the names of plants during the garden safari activity.

Garden Collection

Participants are instructed on the correct way to collect the plants.

Getting to Know Planting Media

Participants received an explanation of some planting media used for planting practice.

Mixing Planting Media

Participants practiced mixing the planting media that had been already prepared.
